Laker fans, here's your chance to win a RareInk.com limited edition 18x24 fine art print highlighting Kobe's 81-point game against the Toronto Raptors back on January 22, 2006.
RareInk.com better explains the moment...
Every master artist, no matter the genre, has that moment when inspiration strikes and a masterpiece comes to fruition. Leonardo da Vinci painted the Mona Lisa, William Shakespeare penned Hamlet, Beethoven arranged his Fifth Symphony and Kobe Bryant faced the Raptors. It was on the night of Jan. 22, 2006 that Bryant stepped on the Staples Center floor for what seemed like another routine midseason game. It transformed into his pièce de résistance. He put together the second-greatest individual scoring game in NBA history behind Wilt Chamberlain’s 100-point outburst, shredding Toronto for 81 points, 55 of which came in the second half. The guard did it by nailing 28-of-46 shots from the field (7-of-13 from the land of three) and 18-of-20 from the charity stripe. Bryant’s super-human performance deserves its own wing in the Musée du Louvre.
About the Art
Artist Mark Sgarbossa captures Kobe's 81-point game in a unique screen-print-style design that highlights the date, shot chart, and Kobe's stat line from one of the NBA's most historic achievements.
About the Artist
