Lakers vs Heat - Christmas Day 12/25/2010

To all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! In just several hours Lakers fans will come face-to-face to the highly anticipated biggest game of the regular season. Santa's in town and he brought with him the Miami Cheat. Have you been naughty or nice? Well for the champs, we'll see what Santa brings them this afternoon. As for Miami, a lump of coal from Santa with love.

L.A. has to play better perimeter defense and play tall to pull the w. LeBron, Wade and Bosh will get theirs but where Miami lacks is at the inside game. Gasol and Bynum (hopefully) will have to play BIG today by shooting over their defenders and sacrificing their bodies defensively. This will be the deciding factor. Bosh is really Miami's only big man. Haslem is injured and Ilgauskas/Dampier/Juwan Howard are all aging centers who have limited minutes.

Today's key match-ups are Odom/Bosh and Kobe/Wade. Artest will definitely have his hands full with LeBron. Ron Ron will have to demonstrate why he is the NBA's best defender. LeBron is averaging 25 points a game and is tied with most points in the NBA (765). Artest will have a tough assignment containing the leagues top scorer. If Odom and Gasol crash the boards like they have been we should have the slight advantage. Another thing to look out for is Wades sore knee.

For L.A.. the second unit player to monitor is Mike Miller. Miller has been out with a thumb injury all season long and has recently returned. He's been struggling since but is due for a big game. Lakers need to cover him tightly around the outside when Wade takes a breather.

LETS GO LAKERS! (clap, clap...clap-clap-clap)
